Trends are always changing and they do so fast and with no warning. It’s like the popular saying goes “If you have something good, make sure you tell someone, because once it becomes common it’s too late to do anything about it.” Fashion is no different, except that now the “it” trend is out in force and making everyone an attractive (not to mention smart and stylish) individual. This year, 2021, was a strange year for fashion. So, it just makes sense that the hottest fashion trends that made big headlines last year were even more crazy than the year before.
Not only was there a lot of buzz about crazy fashion styles, but there was also a lot of buzz about how people weren’t buying the products, so something had to change. This year, many of the most desired social media websites like Twitter and Facebook have become hot destinations for retailers to promote their new releases, especially viral fashion trends. In fact, many retailers like Ann Taylor and Macy’s have actually created their own social media websites just to accommodate this growing trend. They’ve also created news and opinion blogs to keep their consumers up to speed on what’s happening in the world of fashion. No, really, there’s nothing to worry about because these retailers understand that their customers don’t really want to know why a particular trend isn’t selling well, they just want to know what’s in it for them.
It’s interesting to see the future of fashion trends because I believe that we will see some crazy things in store for our next summer. Will there be a new face mask craze? Can we get some type of baldness pill available in 2021? Only time will tell and I’m just looking forward to seeing what we can all do in the months and years to come.
